Sentinels Attack In New X-Men: Days Of Future Past Clip

With a little more than a month to go until its release, X-Men: Days Of Future Past has cemented itself as one of the most anticipated films of the spring. It makes sense as well when you look at what 20th Century Fox has done with their excellent promotion so far. Between an abundance of posters and images, some cool trailers and plenty of tantalizing clips, I'm sure many who didn't have the film on their radar a few months ago definitely do now. That smart marketing continued at this year's MTV Movie Awards, where the studio premiered a very exciting new clip from the film.

With a little more than a month to go until its release, X-Men: Days Of Future Past has cemented itself as one of the most anticipated films of the spring. It makes sense as well when you look at what 20th Century Fox has done with their excellent promotion so far. Between an abundance of posters and images, some cool trailers and plenty of tantalizing clips, I’m sure many who didn’t have the film on their radar a few months ago definitely do now. That smart marketing continued at this year’s MTV Movie Awards, where the studio premiered a very exciting new clip from the film.

What’s shown here gives us a great look at the advanced sentinels that the mutants are fighting against. Those sentinels are smaller than some versions in the comics were, but they’re also faster and more agile, which means they’ll definitely be a worthy adversary. In addition to getting to see the sentinels, the clip also shows off the powers of a few mutants, most notable being Iceman, who does some major robot-freezing while riding his ice trail.

Thanks to the huge cast assembled here, it’s hard not to be fired up about this movie, even if you aren’t an X-Men fan. With Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Ellen Page and many more, there’s going to be at least a few cast members that should spark your interest. And that’s the main beauty of the time-traveling plot, or at least the main one from a box office standpoint.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past hits theaters on May 23rd. Check out the new clip below and stay tuned as we’ll have a new trailer to share with you later this week.
