Set Photos From Darren Aronofsky’s Noah

Darren Aronofsky is one of those directors that I've been keeping my eye on for some time. While I wasn't particularly impressed with his debut feature, Pi, I did like Requiem for a Dream quite a bit. However, he then blew me away with his masterpiece, The Fountain, before delivering two more decent films, The Wrestler and Black Swan, the latter of which earned him an Oscar nomination.

Lately, Aronofsky has been hard at work on his biblical epic Noah, of which we’ve only seen one official still. Now, thanks to The Film Stage, we have a look at some set photos that include looks at Aronofsky, Logan Lerman, and Madison Davenport on Long Island.

With a screenplay by Aronofsky, Ari Handel, and John Logan, the film will portray Noah as “a man who loves Earth and all of its animal inhabitants, but has become disillusioned with the way humans have treated their planet.”

The film has a rather impressive cast that also includes Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, and Ray Winstone.

As someone who is always interested in what Aronofsky’s up to, I’m quite excited to see how this turns out. However, we still have quite some time before we find out as the film won’t be hitting theaters until March 28th, 2014.
