UPDATE: The set photos have been removed at the request of the studio.

As most of you are probably aware, Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot has been filming for a while now. So far, we’ve seen a few little bits and pieces of the film, including video of the cast and crew filming, as well as photos taken on set.

Today, thanks to Comic Book Movie, we have more set photos. This time they’re of the turtles’ lair and as you probably expected, there’s pizza involved. The photos would seem to indicate that, not only are the turtles rather green in their ability to recycle, but also that the producers have a major product placement deal with Pizza Hut given the blatant use of several of their boxes.

The other photo is of interest because it just might contain what could be a first look at Shredder, or at least an actor in a motion-capture suit that kind of looks like he could be Shredder. Be forewarned though, it’s hard to see much in the photo and this is just pure speculation. It’ll probably still be quite some time before we get an “official” look at what the turtles’ arch-nemesis will actually look like.

I’ve stated before that I’m more than willing to give this reboot a chance, if for nothing more than the nostalgic value it might hold. Granted, there are a few things holding the production back, such as Michael Bay acting as producer and Megan Fox playing April O’Neil, but there’s also William Fichtner’s performance as Shredder to look forward to. I realize that some people are mad that they didn’t get someone Japanese to play the role, but I still can’t wait to see what Fichtner does with it.

There’s still a while to go before the film finally hits theaters but you can be sure we’ll be getting more and more bits and pieces as production continues, so make sure to check back often. Hopefully, along with a real look at Shredder, we’ll also get to see what the turtles will look like post-CGI. Here’s hoping they don’t muck this one up.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hits theaters June 6th, 2014.
