A Look At The Set Of World War Z

Marc Forster seems like an odd choice to be directing a zombie film, especially one based on a very popular book. He made several great independent films, including Finding Neverland and Monster’s Ball, before jumping into the mainstream light with the disappointing Quantum of Solace. Currently, Forster is working on finalizing the Gerard Butler vehicle, Machine Gun Preacher, and filming the adaptation of Max Brooks’ World War Z.

The Daily Mail just released new photos from the set of the film, which stars Brad Pitt as the film’s protagonist Gerry Lane. Pitt will be joined by Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale and Anthony Mackie.

Check out the plot summary below.

“Ten years after the human victory over the world wide Zombie epidemic, referred to as World War Z, Max Brooks scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the conflict that almost eradicated humanity.”

World War Z is scheduled for release sometime in 2012. Check out more photos below.
