Shailene Woodley Goes With Short Hair In New Look At The Fault In Our Stars

We've already seen Shailene Woodley on the first poster for The Fault In Our Stars as well as in an image released last week and while we could see that she cut her hair, it wasn't the best look at how she'll appear in the film. Now, thanks to EW, we have a better look at the actress and the new haircut that she'll be sporting for the upcoming YA adaptation.

We’ve already seen Shailene Woodley on the first poster for The Fault In Our Stars as well as in an image released last week, and while we could see that she cut her hair, it wasn’t the best look at how she’ll appear in the film. Now, thanks to EW, we have a better photo of the actress and the new haircut that she’ll be sporting for the upcoming YA adaptation.

Of course, the words “YA adaptation” will make many proceed with caution, and rightfully so. Ever since The Hunger Games became a hit, we’ve seen numerous efforts try to capitalize on Lionsgate’s success and unfortunately, all of them have been horrid. Anyone remember Beautiful Creatures or The Mortal Instruments? Ya, that’s what I thought.

Now, this film does have the benefit of starring the brilliant Shailene Woodley in the lead role. So there is that to look forward to. Plus, the novel (written by John Greene) has an extremely passionate fanbase, which always bodes well. That being said, I won’t blame you if you choose to remain cautiously optimistic about this one, at least until a trailer arrives.

As for this first image, it depicts a scene in which our two lead characters, Hazel (Woodley) and Agustus Waters (Ansel Elgort), share a kiss in Anne Frank’s house. Having not read the novel, it doesn’t do much for me but perhaps those who are familiar with the source material will enjoy what they see.

The Fault in Our Stars arrives on June 6 and co-stars Nat Wolff, Willem Dafoe, Mike Birbiglia,Laura Dern, and Sam Trammell. Take a look at the first photo below and let us know what you think.
