Zack Snyder’s Justice League Cut Had Batman Firing A Parademon Canon

After a fan shared an image of him with one of his storyboards, Justice League director Zack Snyder confirmed that the shot was to feature Batman firing an anti-Parademon canon.

Yesterday, Justice League director Zack Snyder, who’s practically disowned the egregious supergroup feature, confirmed that the Knightmare Flash (Ezra Miller) sequence experienced by Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) in his 2016 superhero epic, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, was indeed influenced by the DC Comics video game, Injustice.

Snyder, who’s been using the social media platform, Vero, as a weapon of mass destruction against Warner Bros. for refusing to release his cut of the 2017 blockbuster, has been running through his extensive vision for the DCEU with a fine-tooth comb, practically since the new year begun.

The cut and concealed content revealed by Snyder ranges from a James Gordon Jr. Easter egg, all the way to snapshots confirming deleted scenes. And while arguably, the pièce de résistance came with the aforementioned confirmation of an Injustice-esque arc in Justice League, that hasn’t stopped the director from sharing tidbits of trivia with the diehard fandom.

Earlier today, after an individual posted an image of Zack with one of his hand-drawn storyboards, which seemed to depict Batman “preparing for a big hand-to-hand fight,” Snyder confirmed that the shot was to feature the Caped Crusader as he fired “the big Parademon air defense gun.”

Unfortunately, just as the director never got the chance to explore the disastrous future teased by his Injustice inspiration, we never got to see Batman operate the Parademon air defense gun in Justice League. And although Snyder hasn’t been as forthcoming about the mangled movie on social media, one thing’s for certain, and that’s so long as he continues pouring his plans for the DCEU onto the web, we’ll be here to receive them.
