Hilarious Fan Posters Put Kylo, Porgs And More In Solo: A Star Wars Story

The other day, Lucasfilm gave us the first official posters for Solo: A Star Wars Story in the form of some character images highlighting Alden Ehrenreich's smuggler, Donald Glover as Lando, Joonas Suotamo's Chewie and Emilia Clarke as Qi'Ra. The one-sheets - which took the form of photos of the characters overlaying their names - caught on quite a bit with fans, with many being inspired to create their own in a similar style.

As you’ll see in the gallery below, some unlikely “iconic” characters have now been thrown into the mix, including a Porg, the Ewoks and, of course, Jar Jar Binks. Not to mention the immortal image of Kylo Ren shirtless. While they’re all great, our favorite is probably the one of Lumpy.

Of all the characters from Star Wars lore, the last one we’d expect to turn up in Solo would be Chewie’s young son from the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special. Hands up for who’d like the prequel to feature Wookies celebrating Life Day!

While some of these are obviously ridiculous, there is a chance that a few of these characters could actully appear in Solo. For instance, fans have been calling out for more Boba Fett since, well, ever, and this movie seems like the best place to slot him in out of the upcoming releases on Lucasfilm’s slate.

Meanwhile, there’s also much evidence to suggest that Jabba the Hutt could play a significant role in the film. In which case, it’s feasible that even Salacious Crumb could turn up for a nostalgic cameo, if Solo ventures into the Hutt’s palace on Tatooine (which an action figure playset hints at).

We’ll just have to wait and see what Solo: A Star Wars Story has in store for us when it arrives in theaters on May 25th, but it should be noted that early reactions point to the pic being full of fan service, so it might just have more familiar faces popping up than expected. Fingers crossed, eh?
