What's the one place where you can see the old and new Pennywise together? On these horror icon Easter eggs, of course. Artist Danny Kissel, who's a master carver that's really quite good at what he does, has now applied his talent to turning eggs into some of the genre's scariest creations, taking the art of carving to the next level. In the past, he's done some impressive work on pumpkins and with wood and ice, and now, he's continued that with these loving tributes to some of horror's most beloved franchises.

Artist Danny Kissel, who’s a master carver that’s really quite good at what he does, has now applied his talent to turning eggs into some of the genre’s scariest creations, taking the art of carving to the next level. In the past, he’s done some impressive work on pumpkins and with wood and ice, but now, he’s continued that with these loving tributes to some of horror’s most beloved franchises.

Everyone who you’d expect to be here is included, such as the aforementioned Pennywise (It), ol’ Pinhead (Hellraiser), Chucky (Child’s Play), Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th), Billy the Puppet (Saw) and more. Even Captain Spaulding makes an appearance, ahead of his next cinematic outing via The Devil’s Rejects sequel 3 From Hell.

Speaking of that last one, Rob Zombie’s much anticipated film is now in production and currently on a casting spree, adding many of the director’s frequent collaborators. There’s no release date for it just yet, but if we’re lucky, 3 From Hell could be with us later this year – along with another effort from the genre that many are looking forward to: Halloween.

David Gordon Green and Danny McBride’s sequel, which picks up where the original left off and brings back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, will arrive on October 19th. But we digress.

Circling back to these Easter eggs, they really are rather impressive. Check them out in the gallery up above and once you’ve done so, be sure to leave a comment letting us know which is your favorite.
