Sony has two big Marvel movies planned and the dates are now reserved

Sony has announced that it has reserved two dates in 2024 and 2025, though what they have planned is still in the dark.

Sony has reserved some dates for Sony/Marvel movies in the coming years that have us all wondering what they have up their sleeves for us. On Nov. 8, 2024, and June 27, 2025, these films will be heading to theatres, including IMAX screens, but what on earth could they be?

There is no title yet put to the first date; could it be a third Venom movie? Perhaps the next Spider-Man movie? Whatever it is, it will be going up against several films set to release around that time from some of the entertainment companies, with Warner Bros. releasing an untiled movie on Nov. 15, Universal an untitled film on Nov. 1, and Paramount Pictures has the sequel to the Ridley Scott epic Gladiator releasing on Nov. 22.

Whatever film is released by Sony on June 27, 2025, will be going up directly against Disney’s live-action Moana film, which will hit theatres on the exact same day, as well as an untitled Blumhouse film.

The MCU’s Spider-Man, Tom Holland, has been teasing us that he may return. As reported in Inverse, Holland teased that there is “some stuff going on” in the untitled Spider-Man 4 that he is “excited about.” Spider-Man 4 has been delayed due to the current writers’ strikes. Meetings were being held to discuss the fourth film in the franchise, but they have been put on pause in solidarity with the WGA strike.

Sony is doing very well this summer with its other Spider-Man property, with Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse having racked up an impressive $412 million globally, and is still going up.
