That’s all the time that’s left between now and the long-anticipated release of Avengers: Infinity War, and to mark the occasion, Marvel has released a new clip featuring the one and only Spider-Man. Or, to be more specific, Peter Parker.

It’s going on two years since Tom Holland was roped into the MCU for Captain America: Civil War and already, his on-screen rendition of Parker has become a genuine highlight of Marvel’s juggernaut franchise what with his infectious enthusiasm and endless energy. That dynamism carried over into last year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, in which Parker developed the closest thing to a father-son relationship that Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark’s likely to get.

As for this clip, Spidey’s mentor is unfortunately nowhere to be seen. Instead, we find young Peter on a school bus, perhaps out on a field trip. It isn’t long though before his Spidey senses start tingling and he spots danger. Knowing that he needs to go help his fellow heroes, he gets his best bud Ned to cause a distraction, thus allowing him to sneak away and assist with whatever this unknown threat is.

And speaking of threats, not unlike The Avengers and Age of Ultron before it, Infinity War asks Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to set aside their differences – of which there are quite a few – in the face of a common enemy: Thanos, the unruly Mad Titan who will stop at nothing in his quest to acquire all six Infinity Stones for his precious gauntlet. In doing so, he’ll wield enough power to control, well, everything, including time and space, which has some convinced that Avengers 4 will be even bigger (and deadlier!) than its predecessor.

Avengers: Infinity War opens worldwide on April 27th, and you’ll be pleased to know that the directors have asked fans not to spoil a movie 10 years in the making, as only a select handful of trusted individuals know the “true plot” of the film. Color us intrigued.
