From the ballsy stunt videos to pictures of the cast and crew having fun on set, there’s an air of confidence emanating from Spider-Man: Homecoming that the Marvel reboot could, perhaps, go down as the best Spidey film to date.

It’s a bullish prediction – one made by Civil War co-director Anthony Russo – but even if Jon Watts’ 2017 standalone pic is shouldering a hefty weight of expectation, it doesn’t show. Taking to his lively Instagram feed, lead star Tom Holland has shared a new and striking shot of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man perched atop a wall with mask in hand. It’s a stylish image that wouldn’t look out of place in Christopher Nolan’s Batman universe.

Thanking Homecoming‘s creative team for making him look “badass,” here is Holland’s post in full.

Thank you to @georgejcottle and his amazing team for making me look like a badass. #spidermanhomecoming #stunts

When he’s not scurrying up walls and staring down dark alleyways, Holland’s Peter Parker can be seen out on the streets with Marisa Tomei’s Aunt May. Headlining a star-studded lineup of talent, fans are still pining for the first glimpse of one of Homecoming‘s villains – be it The Shocker or Michael Keaton’s Vulture.

But rest assured, Spider-Man: Homecoming is crammed full of enviable talent, and has even made room for Jon Favreau’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’ll reprise the role of Happy, Tony Stark’s loyal partner in crime.

Building off his debut in Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland will take to the streets – and skyscrapers – of New York City when Spider-Man: Homecoming finally scurries into theaters on July 7, 2017.
