Spider-Man Falls To Earth In New Avengers: Infinity War Promo

"The end is near," says one of the Black Order in an ominous line that's frequently played in the trailers for Avengers: Infinity War. Often that kind of threat doesn't mean anything in superhero cinema, but this time it actually carries some weight. After all, the event movie of the year marks the beginning of the end of the first decade of the MCU.

“The end is near,” says one of the Black Order in an ominous line that’s frequently played in the trailers for Avengers: Infinity War. Often that kind of threat doesn’t mean anything in superhero cinema, but this time it actually carries some weight. After all, the event movie of the year marks the beginning of the end of the first decade of the MCU.

But while Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will be busy facing their greatest challenge yet when Infinity War hits cinemas later this month, where will you be? That’s the question posed by the latest promo for the film. As first shared by Marvel Studios’ official Twitter account, the ominous tagline does a good job of impressing on fans that this is the biggest thing that’s ever happened in the franchise, and you shouldn’t miss it.

Technically speaking of course, Infinity War is just the precursor to where it will all really end: the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4, which follows a year later. However, that doesn’t mean this movie will just keep things simmering. Thanos is set to bulldoze his way through the MCU and we fully expect Infinity War to prove to be the end for many key characters in the franchise.

Speaking of which, it’s interesting to take note of the heroes highlighted in this short teaser. Due to its brief length, it’s boiled down the enormous cast to just a few of the most prominent faces. Namely, Black Panther, Spider-Man – who takes what looks like a very dangerous fall – Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, Thor, Star-Lord and a tiny bit of Black Widow. Not to mention the big cheese himself, Thanos.

Apart from Iron Man and Cap, obviously, could these characters be the ones to grab the most time in the spotlight? We’ll find out when Avengers: Infinity War arrives in theaters on April 27th.
