Speaking to We Got This Covered, actor Shameik Moore floated the suggestion when asked who he could see Miles working with if the character ever made the jump to live-action:

“Miles should team up with … It might be dope to go ahead and get the Black Panther and Miles collaboration. I mean, it’s possible.”

It’s certainly possible, though not especially probable, seeing how Black Panther is currently in a whole other cinematic universe owned by a different studio to Sony. Nonetheless, when the question was raised of what T’Challa and the Avengers might be like in Miles’ own reality, Moore’s co-star Jake Johnson took a moment to picture it:

“That’d be funny if Black Panther was the same in every universe. Everybody else changes, or he’s always like, ‘Well, that’s the Black Panther right there.’ But I can see Miles jumping around with the Black Panther.”

Black Panther isn’t the only familiar figure that Moore expressed an interest in seeing a live-action Miles collaborate with. The actor also mentioned that he hopes his character can meet Venom, and seeing how Eddie Brock is also under Sony and occupying a universe that’s currently lacking its own Spider-Man, perhaps this suggestion is just a little more realistic.

But regardless of whether Miles ever crosses over to other franchises, his own animated saga seems set for further expansion, with Sony announcing plans last month for both a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel and an all-female spinoff. Sounds promising, but before all that, we’ll see if audiences are left wanting more when the first film comes out this Friday.
