To begin with, Nick Fury and Maria Hill (well, kind of) come out of a meeting in one scene with Fury lamenting that “they” know about the “Kree sleeper cells.” The Kree have been around the MCU since 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, playing important roles in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and, of course, Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers cut ties with her adopted people in her standalone film though once she found out the Skrulls were not the villains she’d been told about.

However, Yon-Rogg and Ronan definitely weren’t done with Carol at the end of Captain Marvel so it’d make sense for them to invade her homeworld. The Accuser even specifically stated that he wanted “The Weapon” (Carol). Also, a “secret invasion” of Kree would be a neat inversion of the storyline fans have been expecting Marvel to do in Phase Four – the Secret Invasion comics arc in which the Skrulls are the culprits.

Far From Home also reveals that the Skrulls are busy on a completely different mission: helping Fury protect Earth. The post-credits scene drops the bombshell that Fury and Hill have been Talos and another Skrull in disguise all along. The real Fury has been vacationing on some space station manned by a huge crew of the shapeshifters. Could this new alien-inclusive organization return in Captain Marvel 2?

Time will tell, but for now, let us know if you spotted any other potential clues to CM2 or any other movies hidden in Spider-Man: Far From Home by dropping a comment down below.
