Last Thursday, Avengers: Endgame co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo announced that the film’s spoiler ban lifts at the start of this week. That being said, the movie’s very existence arguably serves as one big Endgame spoiler, seeing how Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is now very much alive as he sets off for Europe. Joining the wall-crawler on his field trip is his best friend Ned, played by Jacob Batalon, who’s just fresh off his Endgame cameo. Meanwhile, Zendaya reprises her role as Michelle “MJ” Jones, and it looks like her inevitable romantic subplot is finally about to get going.

At the same time, Peter’s struggle to balance his personal life and his superhero life is set to continue, as Nick Fury crashes his vacation to recruit him for an assignment. Spidey’s mission concerns the Elementals, who’ve been wreaking havoc across the continent, and in his quest to stop these strange entities, Peter is given an unlikely ally in Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.

While the upcoming flick is officially the final entry in Marvel’s Phase 3, it also marks the beginning of a new era for the MCU, now that Endgame has closed the book on the Infinity Saga. Anthony and Joe Russo’s latest film brought some huge changes to the cinematic universe, and we’ll find out how Peter and his friends cope with the consequences when Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 2nd.
