While Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the like are busy stealing the spotlight thanks to the Justice League marketing blitz Warner Bros. has been laying on us this week, there’s still room for other superheroes to swing on by for an appearance. Just yesterday, Sony dropped two brand new posters for Spider-Man: Homecoming and now, they’ve unleashed one more, which once again shows off the titular hero making his way around New York City.
Admittedly, it’s probably the least exciting of the three one-sheets that’ve been released, but it’s still nice to get some more promotional material from the film, especially since so much of the focus from Marvel has been on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as of late. That’s understandable, of course, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t equally as excited for Tom Holland’s solo outing as the webslinger as we are for James Gunn’s sequel.
Presumably, once Star-Lord and crew make their way into theatres, the focus will shift towards Homecoming and most likely, that’s when the next full trailer will arrive. Then again, with all these posters hitting the web this week, it could be even sooner than that. After all, the last preview we got was in December, so it’s been almost 4 months now since we’ve seen any new footage, and with the film debuting in July, it’s about time something else dropped.
Either way, it’s clear that the promotional campaign for Spider-Man: Homecoming is getting ready to kick off in a big way and even if this poster isn’t one that’s going to stop the presses, it’s another nice visual for the reboot that has us looking forward to seeing more from it in the weeks and months to come.
