Spoiler-Happy Speculation For Captain America: Civil War Asks The Big Question

Much like any modern superhero film before it, Disney and Marvel have struggled to get a tight rein on spoiler-sensitive details leaking from the set of Captain America: Civil War. Largely seeping onto the interwebs in the form of set photos, these still images still hold the power to reveal pertinent plot details ahead of time.

How and ever, today’s speculative report comes by way of That Hashtag Show and should be treated as pure conjecture. Even if it does venture into spoiler territory unabated, it’s still an interesting take on the biggest question now looming over Joe and Anthony Russo’s action-packed sequel.

Spoilers to follow….

Again, we use the term ‘spoiler’ rather loosely here considering that the folks over at That Hashtag Show could be way off base, though we’ll leave that up to you to decide. Ultimately, they posit that the Russo brothers’ actioner will up the stakes quite considerably, killing off not just one, but three costumed heroes from the MCU. Indeed, the report goes on to name that trio in question, but we’ll refrain from divulging the as-yet-unconfirmed information here. It’s all in the video above.

Hypothetically speaking, killing off one or more members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes ought to lend a tangible dramatic weight to Captain America: Civil War; after all, not since Agent Coulson was killed off – only to be resurrected – in The Avengers have we had a character death that truly impacted the course of the film. Villains are one thing, but with a movie that carries the Civil War subtitle, not to mention those reports about an overhauled Avengers lineup by the two-part Infinity War, we’d be foolish to discredit the evidence that That Hashtag Show presents.

Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6, 2016.
