Star Wars Celebration takes place in Orlando this April and it's there that it's thought we'll get our first look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As exciting as that'll be, fans in attendance can expect to be treated to lots of other great panels and reveals, including one celebrating the franchise's 40th anniversary. It's sure to be something special, too, as it'll kick the whole event off and be headed up by host Warwick Davis along with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and more.

Now, a new poster has been released to celebrate the big milestone and it includes a lot of iconic imagery from the Star Wars Saga. Luke, Han and Leia take centre stage, and they’re flanked by the heroes from the current trilogy, which began with Star Wars: The Force Awakens back in 2015.

Perhaps the most interesting additions though are characters from the prequels, as we see Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, and a younger Yoda. To not include them would have been a mistake, but Disney and Lucasfilm have so far shied away from releasing anything tied too closely to the divisive trilogy focusing on Darth Vader’s younger days, so it’s nice to see them show up here.

Their inclusion may also signal a change in how much of a focus those movies receive in terms of promotion and merchandise moving forward, but either way, this poster is still a stunning piece of artwork and one that any Star Wars fan should have in their possession.
