Star Wars: The Force Awakens TV Spot Features Lots Of New Footage

J.J. Abrams was seemingly right when he stated that the recent third trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens would be the final one - but he didn't mention the barrage of new footage we'd be getting in these TV spots. Of course it's normal for any big tent-pole to hammer home the promotion in the buildup to its release, but some fans are becoming increasingly perturbed by the sheer number of new shots floating around the web now.

Of course, it’s normal for any big tentpole to hammer home the promotion in the build-up to its release, but some fans are becoming increasingly perturbed by the sheer number of new shots floating around the web now.

If you do decide to watch this latest spot though, there’s plenty of awesome stuff to get you even more hyped for the movie. This one is mostly Finn-centric, showcasing some foreboding new dialogue from the former First Order trooper before moving on to some more lightsaber action. There’s also a cool shot of Han Solo (Harrison Ford), iconic blaster in hand as he asks his new young friend if he’s “up for” taking on the First Order. Let’s just say Finn… has his reservations.

Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, alongside franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.
