Those lucky enough to attend a recent press screening in Mexico were shown the first ten minutes of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Though the movie won’t arrive in cinemas for another three weeks, one of the outlets who attended the screening has relayed what the opening consists of and a translation has now been posted by a fan on Reddit.

Seen below, it outlines what occurs near the start of the film and obviously, there are some spoilers here. So, if you want to go into the theater with a clean slate, you may want to turn away now. You’ve been warned.

“Since I assume most readers don’t speak Spanish I’ll describe what the woman in the video says: She explained that the footage (approximately 10-13 minutes) shows a space battle and is mostly centered around Poe and BB-8, and how Poe is trying to destroy ‘a gun inside of a big ship.’ She also says that Hux appeared in the scene and that there is a humorous bit with him (which she claims ‘felt like a Marvel movie’ although she didn’t describe the moment or specify why, and still said the humor throughout the scene was very funny).

Then she mentioned that there’s a new character who wasn’t in the previous movie whose life is threatened at one point in the footage shown and that the movie intermediately makes you care about said character (most likely referring to Rose). She ended saying that ‘the destruction in the scene was massive’ and that the special effects were great, and at the end started talking about something else but stopped because she didn’t want to spoil the rest of the scene, so there’s more going on in the scene.”

Now, this obviously isn’t an official description of The Last Jedi‘s opening, so some might be hesitant to believe it. However, the press screening event and the fact that the description lines up with previous info means it’s likely genuine. In fact, just last month, a new Star Wars book revealed that the film would begin with a battle between good and evil on D’Qar, as the First Order attacks the Resistance Base in retaliation for the destruction of Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens. According to that, though, the new character involved in the fight is not Rose Tico, as the Redditor suggests, but Tallie Lintra, an A-Wing pilot played by British actress Hermione Corfield.

Star Wars films tend to open with a bang, but it seems that The Last Jedi will be going all out by dedicating the entirety of its first ten minutes to a gigantic cosmic battle. The movie is the longest entry in the Star Wars saga, after all, coming in at a hefty 2 hours, 33 minute runtime, so it seems the film has the space to spare to open up on a thrilling set piece, one which ties into the end of the previous installment, before picking up the plot afterwards.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in theaters worldwide on December 15th.
