Star Wars: The Force Awakens Documentary Teasers And Concept Art Showcase J.J. Abrams’ Vision In The Making
Commemorating the journey from page to screen, the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray will come packing a feature-length documentary that sheds light on Disney and Lucasfilm’s juggernaut from its formative days during the table read to becoming the cinematic success story of 2015.
Due to be released via Digital HD and VOD services on April 1, before expanding to Blu-ray and DVD a few days later on April 5, included in The Force Awakens Blu-ray are a smattering of deleted scenes from Abrams’ blockbuster, along with several featurettes.
Given that both Disney and Lucasfilm smothered production in a thick veil of secrecy, it is the feature-length documentary that will no doubt pique the curiosity of fans. From the all-too-brief snippet above, we see shots pulled from towards the end of the sci-fi sequel involving Luke and Rey on the Irish isle of Skellig Michael, before cutting to exterior shots in Dubai – doubling as Jakku – and the interior of Starkiller Base, Kylo Ren’s formidable base of operations.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available on Digital HD on April 1st and Blu-ray and DVD on April 5th. While we wait with bated breath, be sure to feast your eyes on early concept art for Disney and Lucasfilm’s franchise revival via the gallery below.
