First spotted by CBM, these newly-unveiled photos spotlight some of the sequel’s biggest scenes, so if you’ve yet to see The Last Jedi with your own two eyes, tread lightly. You wouldn’t want to spoil all of the surprises tucked away within Rian Johnson’s screenplay now, would you?

Speaking of which, the director’s script is just one Star Wars facet up for consideration, as the Powers That Be have entered The Last Jedi in all awards categories, including the coveted Best Picture and Best Director. Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley are also in the running for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively, though if history has taught us anything, it’s that a big-name blockbuster in the vein of Star Wars: The Last Jedi will likely reign supreme in the technical departments – think Best Visual Effects and the like – as opposed to competing for the more high-profile and prestigious gongs.

You can find further details on all of The Last Jedi‘s contenders over on the official For Your Consideration page, which has also listed a number of other Disney tentpoles including Beauty and the Beast, Cars 3, Coco, Lou, Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Circling back to these all-new stills, though, and above you’ll be able to take a closer peek at Rey and Kylo Ren’s double act, as the unlikely duo temporarily join forces to dispatch Snoke and his Elite Praetorian Guards. It’s arguably one of the film’s best scenes, so we simply can’t wait to get our hands on The Last Jedi Blu-ray to relive the magic all over again. And if early reports hold true, it’ll be with us sooner than initially thought.
