Steve Carell And Jim Carrey Will Face-Off In Burt Wonderstone

Burt Wonderstone sounds a little bit like the plot for an un-aired Arrested Development episode, only without Will Arnett.

Jim Carrey will play opposite Steve Carell in the film, according to First Showing. Carell will star as a popular Vegas magician who has been upstaged by a younger, cooler performer (Carrey).

The premise sounds a bit dodgy to me, but Carell and Carrey both definitely have the chops to pull it off. Plus, the film was written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who last teamed up for Horrible Bosses, one of my favorite summer movies.

Hopefully the two comedians will be able to put together something special here, rather than just another lackluster comedy.
