Suicide Squad: Report Allegedly Reveals Extent Of Batman’s Appearance

It looks as though the Dark Knight won't have much screen time in David Ayer's Suicide Squad after all, according to a new report.

First confirmed for a cameo appearance when David Ayer’s anti-hero feature was still deep in production on the streets of Toronto – at a time when set photos caught Ben Affleck’s masked vigilante like a deer in the headlights – new details have emerged today regarding the extent of the Dark Knight’s appearance in Suicide Squad.

If you’ve kept pace with Suicide Squad‘s barnstorming marketing campaign – and in particular those two, stylish full-length trailers – chances are you’ve clocked eyes on the scene in which Batman is pursuing both Harley Quinn and the Joker as they speed through traffic in an eye-catching, neon purple sports car.

According to the report, Batman’s appearance really stops and ends there, with the outlet noting that Affleck’s watchful protector doesn’t have much of an interaction with Jared Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime – if any at all.

“Next is the car scene that we saw in the trailers with Batman, The Joker, and Harley Quinn. Unfortunately there isn’t much interaction between Batman and the Joker here. It’s mostly between Batman and Harley. A report came out last summer that said the Joker’s car plunges into the water, and as we saw in the latest trailer, it does and Batman gets Harley out safely.”

Also starring Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Karen Fukuhara, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach and Viola Davis, Suicide Squad is scheduled to storm theaters on August 5.
