Red Carpet Premiere: Will Ferrell Talks Daddy’s Home

WGTC stops by the Daddy's Home red carpet premiere to talk to Will Ferrell.

Back in 2010, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg teamed up for Adam McKay’s The Other Guys, which turned out to be not only one of the funniest films of the year, but also showed audiences that the two actors had an incredible chemistry between them, resulting in some absolutely hilarious moments.

It took 5 years for Ferrell and Wahlberg to find another project to work on together, but we’ll finally get to see them share the screen again in Sean Anders’ Daddy’s Home, a new comedy hitting theatres on Christmas Day courtesy of Paramount Pictures.

In the film, Ferrell plays Brad, a husband desperately trying to win the approval of his step children. Just when things are starting to go his way and the kids seem to be accepting him as their father, their real dad, the freewheeling and freeloading Dusty (Wahlberg), enters the pictures, throwing a huge wrench into Brad’s life and forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids.

Last week at the red carpet premiere for Daddy’s Home in Toronto, we had the chance to catch up with Ferrell for a few minutes and ask him about his new role. The actor spoke about why he chose to play Brad instead of Dusty, why him and Wahlberg work so well together, and if we’ll ever see an Anchorman 3.

Hear what Will had to say in the video above and be sure to catch Daddy’s Home when it releases on December 25th.
