If you remember, The Avengers trailer leaked out onto the internet a couple weeks ago. It was a bootleg version but those who saw Captain America: The First Avenger in theatres were treated to the real thing. Looks like Paramount wants to keep it that way but they have been kind enough to release a teaser for the trailer.
As odd as that sounds, it’s actually kind of neat. It shows off the final scene in Captain America: The First Avenger followed by a quick peek at The Avengers trailer.
It’s not much but for those who haven’t seen the actual trailer yet, it’s worth checking out. We see quick shots of the various Avengers as well as a quick one liner by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and one from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). The full version isn’t much longer but it does offer a bit more footage.
Be warned though, there are some serious Captain America spoilers here, so don’t play the clip unless you’re alright with watching the final scene of the film.
Joss Whedon directs The Avengers which stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (replacing Edward Norton as The Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgard and Cobie Smulders.
The Avengers opens on May 4th, 2012.
