Is there anyone having a better year than Disney and Marvel right now? As a matter of fact, it seems that both studios have been riding high ever since The Avengers became a mega-success just two years ago. And while Marvel has become the envy of all other studios who have comic book franchises, Disney Animation have been no slouch either.
Big Hero 6 is by far the most ambitious outing yet from the studio, as they’ve teamed up with Marvel to make the company’s first animated superhero film. We already saw some new images earlier today and now, Disney has released a brand new poster along with a teaser trailer to help whet your appetite.
For those unfamiliar with the film, it’s an action/comedy adventure that centers on a young prodigy named Hiro Hamada. With the help of his robot, Baymax, Hiro joins forces with a team of first-time crime fighters to save their high-tech city (San Fransokyo) from destruction.
Thus far, Disney and Marvel have been pretty tight-lipped about the film. And as you can see from the teaser trailer, they still insist on giving away as little information as possible. That said, you have to dig the comic book-style poster, and from what can be gathered from the footage we’ve seen so far, this looks it can be a pretty enjoyable ride.
Directed by Don Hall (Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Williams (Bolt), with a script penned by Hall and Jordan Roberts (March of the Penguins), Big Hero 6 will hit theaters nationwide on November 7th.
