It was recently confirmed that the character would be utilized as one of the villains in the film, but I don’t think anyone expected him to be revealed quite so soon. We’re certainly not complaining, though.

For those who are unfamiliar, Krang is an alien from Dimension X, who travels to earth with his minions in an attempt to take over. In the cartoon he teams up with Shredder and provides him with upgraded weaponry, and while that hasn’t been confirmed to occur in the movie, it’s definitely a safe bet. Krang’s mode of transportation, the Technodrome, can also be glimpsed in the trailer.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows is directed by David Green and hits theaters on June 3rd, 2016.
