Big news here folks. Next year, Terrence Malick will shoot two films back to back with two stellar casts.
The first film is titled Lawless and will star Ryan Gosling with a supporting cast of Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara and Haley Bennett.
The second film is titled Knight Of Cups and will star Christian Bale with a supporting cast of Australian’s Cate Blanchett and Isabel Lucas.
Though no plot details are available, we do know that FilmNation will be dealing with the American film rights for both films, which are currently in pre-production. Malick’s Tree Of Life and New World producers, Sarah Green and Nicolas Gonda, are also on board.
Personally, I am over the moon about more Malick films and combined with the fantastic talent that is on board, it really has me speechless. As an Aussie as well, I’m very excited for Isabel Lucas especially, as this really may be the catalyst for her rise into stardom.
It’s unclear which film will shoot first but we can expect both Lawless and Knight Of Cups in cinemas in 2013.
