The Avengers’ Deleted Scene Features More Mark Ruffalo

With the announcement of Mark Ruffalo's casting as Bruce Banner came hate. And much like Heath Ledger's Joker or Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker, the hate turned into love once the movie was released. Many have considered Mark Ruffalo's version of the Hulk to be the breakout star of The Avengers, and with the first sneak peek into the Blu-Ray's special features, we're reminded once again why that was.

With the announcement of Mark Ruffalo‘s casting as Bruce Banner came hate. And much like Heath Ledger’s Joker or Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker, the hate turned into love once the movie was released. Many have considered Mark Ruffalo’s version of the Hulk to be the breakout star of The Avengers, and with the first sneak peek into the Blu-Ray’s special features, we’re reminded once again why that was.

The clip is one of the many deleted scenes in the movie and is an extension of the scene with Bruce Banner and the security guard (played by Harry Dean Stanton). Despite being barely a minute long, the scene is powerful yet lighthearted as it sees the guard pose an interesting question to Banner. Digging deep into Bruce Banner’s core, he basically asks him who he truly is, the reserved scientific genius, or a rage-filled monster?

It’s easy to see why it didn’t make the final cut of the film, but it’s a great piece of extra footage that sees Mark Ruffalo shine. Hopefully there’s more Bruce Banner/Hulk in the rest of the extra footage.

The Avengers Blu-Ray hits stores on September 25, 2012.
