February 14th is an exciting day for Marvel fans – and no, we’re not just talking about Valentine’s Day. Rather, today heralds the release of Doctor Strange across Digital HD and with it, a raft of exciting tidbits pertaining to Marvel’s Phase Three.

Chronologically speaking, Civil War jump-started a new era for the MCU more than a year ago, and Phase Three will continue through the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in a few months’ time. Indeed, James Gunn’s spacefaring sequel will be the first of three Marvel movies to release in 2017, followed in quick succession by Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok.

The latter is directed by Taika Waititi (Hunt For the Wilderpeople), and will see Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder locking horns with the Hulk. Yes, elements of Greg Pak’s beloved Planet Hulk comic book are finally headed to the big screen, and new concept art released today offers a teasing glimpse at the Herculean fight between two of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Releasing alongside artwork for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, up above you’ll also see an artist’s rendition of Hela, the all-powerful villain to be portrayed by Cate Blanchett (Ocean’s Eight). Finally, there’s also a new video of Team Thor Part 2 to pour over, which is designed to check in on the God of Thunder and Darryl Down Under.

Angled as the third entry into Marvel’s Phase Three, Thor: Ragnarok is poised to light up the silver screen on November 3rd of this year. Further afield, the studio also has Avengers: Infinity War (May 4th, 2018) waiting in the wings, which has officially entered production in Atlanta.

In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok. Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!
