Thor: Ragnarok Gets Beautiful New IMAX Poster

For the first time in the MCU's short, yet decorated history, 2017 brought about the release of three big-name films in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok. The latter Marvel tentpole is yet to hit theaters, but with only three months to go until the God of Thunder is back on our screens, today brings forth a brand new IMAX poster designed to showcase the threequel's impressive A-list cast.

Front and center is Chris Hemsworth as the titular Asgardian, who will be sporting a cropped new hairstyle while trying to fend off Ragnarok. To do so, he’ll have to fight his way back through the Seven Realms, beginning with a Herculean brawl against Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk – much to the delight of Jeff Goldblum’s all-wise Grandmaster, who’s tucked away at the bottom of this poster alongside the returning Odin (played by the inimitable Anthony Hopkins).

Take a look at the new one-sheet in the gallery below, along with a few others that were released earlier this week, and let us know what you think:

Dubbed a rip-roaring road movie that embraces the “trippy” and “cosmic” nature of the Thor comics – not to mention Greg Pak’s beloved Planet Hulk – Thor: Ragnarok will purportedly introduce us to the funniest version of Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian yet, and much of that light-hearted fun can be traced back to the comedic interplay between the God of Thunder and Hulk.

This November, Thor: Ragnarok heralds the hero’s wildest adventure to date, and we can hardly wait. It’s been a long time coming, too, given that Chris Hemsworth’s Norse god remained on the sidelines in Captain America: Civil War – ditto for Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait as long for the hero’s next on-screen appearance, as the Phase One Avenger will be filing into Infinity War in time for its release on May 4th, 2018.
