Brazil’s Comic Con Experience kicked off yesterday, and we’ve been seeing the odd display for the likes of Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok pop up online ever since. Most of it hasn’t been particularly revealing, but this very first piece of promotional artwork for Marvel’s Thor threequel is definitely a different story.
The image features the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) rushing into battle. The former is sporting his new-look armor and some very bright and colorful facepaint, which is not too dissimilar to what we’ve seen Valkyrie wearing in a recent set video.
[zergpaid]Notable by its absence is Thor’s mighty hammer Mjolnir, which has been replaced by a pair of lethal looking swords. The Green Goliath, meanwhile, is decked out in some fierce looking armor that’s almost identical to his garb in Marvel’s Planet Hulk comic, which elements of this movie are said to be based on.
Keep in mind that this is probably only preliminary art that’s going to be used for the movie’s tie-in merchandise, which means the character’s might wind up looking somewhat different in live-action – but, these type of things are usually a pretty good indication of what we can expect from the final product.
Thor: Ragnarok is set to hit theatres on November 3rd, 2017.
