Cate Blanchett’s name first surfaced in connection with Thor: Ragnarok a while back, with various sources speculating on the nature of her role. Is she Valkyrie, or could she be Hela? It turns out the latter is true, thanks to an official nod from Marvel Studios, and now we have what could be our first glimpse at the Oscar-winning actress in action.

Most of the sneak peeks we’ve received thus far have made it pretty clear who we’re looking at. That’s partly because – outside of Asgard set decoration snaps – the rest are high quality images and videos from the actors themselves. Still, the pics from onlookers have captured the vast sets, kitted out in superb detail across various Australian locales. So, could it be that this newest video actually shows off the movie’s villainess? Take a look at Nine News’ brief clip for yourself and see what you think:

Where’s Blanchett? The consensus is that the figure walking down the steps carrying an umbrella is the actress in costume, minus Hela’s headdress. It’s hard to make a definitive guess thoug because it’s very small and the person in question is onscreen for a matter of seconds.

What do you think? Could that be our first hint at the Norse God’s foe in the threequel? Or is it likely just a bystander? Director Taika Waititi shall make all things crystal clear when Thor: Ragnarok arrives into theaters on November 3, 2017.
