Tom Felton Says Harry Potter Was Constantly Crushing On Draco Malfoy

Harry Potter had a few love interests during his time at Hogwarts. Though he eventually settled down with Ginny Weasley, he also had a thing for Cho Chang in his earlier school years. Then, of course, there's his secret love for Draco Malfoy... Wait, what? Yup, that's a fact. Daniel Radcliffe's boy wizard harbored some serious feelings for his Slytherin nemesis. Harry Potter had a few love interests during his time at Hogwarts. Though he eventually settled down with Ginny Weasley, he also had a thing for Cho Chang in his earlier school years. Then, of course, there’s his secret love for Draco Malfoy… Wait, what? Yup, that’s a fact. Daniel Radcliffe’s boy wizard harbored some serious feelings for his Slytherin nemesis. At least, that’s according to Draco himself, Tom Felton.

Some of the Harry Potter cast reunited recently to mark the opening of a new ride at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. During a video interview with AOL, they played a game called “Fact or Fan Fic” in which they had to decide if fan theories were true. One, read to Felton by Rupert Grint, goes: “Even when he was with Ginny, Harry was always in love with Draco.”

“I think it was clearly a fact,” Felton says with a grin in the video. “Harry was constantly crushing on Draco. He just couldn’t hide it.”

Grint then suggests that it wasn’t just Harry who felt this way, but Ron, too. “I think he made quite an impression on Ron as well.”

Felton agreed, laughing and saying: “Yes. Well, exactly. It could have gone either way, really.”

The guys are just having some fun here, but honestly, the idea that Harry could have been secretly in love with Draco sounds a lot like one of those surprising revelations that J.K. Rowling likes to drop on Pottermore or on Twitter. Or even in the Fantastic Beasts movies. For instance, the author recently revealed that Dumbledore and Grindelwald had an intense love affair. Something that was criticized by fans for being a blatant retcon.

Still, while we await Fantastic Beasts 3, which has been postponed until November 2021, we probably need some wild Harry Potter theories to entertain us. If you have any of your own, be sure to sound off in the comments section down below.
