Tom Hanks Joins Kathryn Bigelow’s Triple Frontier

Stars everywhere are lining up to be in director Kathryn Bigelow's next film. It's not much of a surprise either seeing as her last film, The Hurt Locker, had quite a performance at the Oscars. Thus far, Sean Penn, Will Smith, Javier Bardem and Christian Bale have all been circling the project. Could you imagine if they all joined? Wow. The likelihood of that happening is slim to none. That being said, we do now have our first official cast member.

Everyone’s favorite actor, Tom Hanks, is now attached to the project and will take a lead role. Solid choice and I definitely back it. Can’t go wrong with Hanks and no doubt his star power will help attract some other big names.

With shooting set to being in March, you can be sure we’ll get more casting details soon. As for plot, details are thin but according to The Playlist, it’s being describe as a “Traffic”-esque tale set in the notorious, crime-ridden border region between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay known as ‘la triple frontera.”

Sounds good to me.
