Our first glimpse into the goings-on is limited to one still; a behind-the-scenes snap of Hanks and Spielberg having a chat down a snowy street. The picture arrived thanks to an exclusive from EW, who also interviewed the director in relation to his thoughts on the movie. In particular, why the tale of Donovan?

“This is one of the more astonishing stories about the Cold War I’d ever heard,” Spielberg told EW. “James Donovan is a hero to me, and Tom made him so completely accessible… I’ve always wanted to make a spy movie, and this is that and then some.”

With a screenplay penned by the Coen brothers, Steven Spielberg behind the camera, and Hanks in the lead, this is a future film that holds a lot of promise. As for now, the movie is still without a title, but we should expect one in the next few months as it’s scheduled for release in U.S theatres on October 16th, 2015.
