Tom Holland Hangs With The Guardians In New Avengers: Infinity War BTS Pic

Avengers: Infinity War will bring together every MCU hero for the first time. With the chance to go bananas with character pairings, then, the event movie will serve up some unusual dynamics. Sure, there will be reunions for fan favourite duos such as Steve and Bucky, but there will also be left-field team-ups like Thor, Rocket and Groot.

Or, as it happens, Spider-Man and Star-Lord. The teenage vigilante and the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy will come together as part of Iron Man’s group, which also includes at least Drax and Mantis, who will travel to Thanos’ homeworld of Titan at some point during Infinity War.

It looks like Tom Holland got quite friendly with the Guardians, too, as the actor’s now shared a behind the scenes photo from Infinity War on his Instagram account, showing him presumably taking a break in between scenes and hanging out with Chris Pratt and Karen Gillan on set.

Check it out for yourself in the gallery below (which also includes some photos from a recent fan screening, in case you missed them):

Of course, it won’t only be the Guardians who Spidey finds himself hanging with. As established in Captain America: Civil War and embellished in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker also has a pretty close relationship with Tony Stark, and even though they differ on the best course of action sometimes, it’s clear they have a lot of respect for each other.

That’s something we’ll see continue in Infinity War as well, with Holland teasing the following during that aforementioned fan screening:

“Of course it’ll develop. The bond they’ve formed is pretty strong and Tony has a great deal of responsibility for Peter and his actions. I think Peter may grate on Tony a bit more in this movie, which is fun, but our relationship definitely blossoms some more.”

Suffice it to say, there’s a lot to look forward to when it comes to Spider-Man’s role in Avengers: Infinity War and it all goes down in under two weeks, when the film crashes into theaters on April 27th.
