Tom Wilkinson Is An Awesome Grizzled Cop In New Clip From Felony

This Aussie drama from director Matthew Saville was released down under at the end of August, and so far, the critical reception has been mixed. Felony has all the makings of a sturdy police thriller, with a sterling cast giving it their all in this morality fable, and as of now, I'm definitely looking forward to checking it out.

This Aussie drama from director Matthew Saville was released down under at the end of August, and so far, the critical reception has been mixed. Felony has all the makings of a sturdy police thriller, with a sterling cast giving it their all in this morality fable, and as of now, I’m definitely looking forward to checking it out.

The story revolves around Detectives Malcolm Toohey (Joel Edgerton), Carl Summer (Tom Wilkinson) and Jim Melic (Jai Courtney), following an accident that leaves a child in a coma. Based on the first clip alone, it seems like that is the incident being explored as Summer and Melic arrive at a crime scene. Wilkinson is just brilliant, as he always is, and to be honest, he’s worth watching in anything.

Felony is available now on VOD and opens in theatres October 17th. Check out the clip below and let us know what you think?

Malcolm Toohey is a committed husband, father and a dedicated detective who’s not afraid to put his body on the line. After surviving a shot through his bullet proof vest during a major drug bust, his Drugs Squad rowdily celebrates their success and Malcolm’s courage at the local pub. Although Malcolm has been drinking, he gets in his car to drive home – and a tragic accident occurs. Shortly after, Jim Melic and his veteran partner Carl Summer are assigned to the case. Jim narrows his focus onto Malcolm as Carl does everything he can to cover up the truth for a fellow cop, putting his own distinguished career on the line. As these three detectives become embroiled in a tense psychological struggle, every idea they’ve ever had about the meaning of justice, guilt, and innocence will be questioned. How far will each man go?
