A couple of weeks ago we reported that Steve Carell was in negotiations to star alongside Meryl Streep in Great Hope Springs. The film would have Streep play a wife who goes to a therapist to talk about her loveless marriage. Carell would be playing as the therapist. Now Tommy Lee Jones is in talks to play as the husband in that marriage.
This couldn’t be any better, Jones in a comedy about a loveless marriage sounds great. Jones has that stoic face that you would most likely see in films with people refusing to deal with their therapists. His strong personality could be a great way to clash with Carell’s silliness.
The David Frankel drama will use a script written by Vanessa Taylor and the film is scheduled to begin shooting in August. I’m definitely looking forward to it. Especially with the addition of Tommy Lee Jones.
