Toy Story 3 Is Now Pixar’s Highest Grossing Film

According to /Film, Toy Story 3 has surpassed Finding Nemo and has become Pixar's highest grossing film. While Finding Nemo pulled in an incredible $867.8 million worldwide, Toy Story 3 has now made $895 million worldwide. Of course the 3D factor comes into play here and it does give Toy Story 3 an advantage. Even so, $895 is a tremendous amount of money to make at the box office.

According to /Film, Toy Story 3 has surpassed Finding Nemo and has become Pixar’s highest grossing film. While Finding Nemo pulled in an incredible $867.8 million worldwide, Toy Story 3 has now made $895 million worldwide. Of course the ‘3D’ factor comes into play here and it does give Toy Story 3 an advantage. Even so, $895 is a tremendous amount of money to make at the box office.

It is also important to remember that Toy Story 3 only came out in June, it still has a long ways to go before it is totally out of theatres. The film could still make another $30 million, at least. Will it hit $1 billion? Probably not, but it will most certainly break down the $900 million barrier.

Toy Story 3 has received perfect scores from just about every reviewer and I think most of us can agree that it is Pixar’s best film. We gave it a 9/10 in our review and it is by far one of the best movies this summer. I’m happy to see it doing so well and if you haven’t yet seen it, you may want to make it a priority on your to-do list.
