One of America's most iconic families is returning to the big screen, and a new trailer for The Addams Family is set to release next week.

Get ready. The creepiest, kookiest, spookiest (and not to mention ookiest) clan in America is heading back to the big screen later this year. It’s been nearly 30 years, but The Addams Family is coming back in a big way with an all-new animated film, which is due out a couple of weeks before Halloween.

So far, we’ve only been treated to a handful of promotional images and a few brief teasers, but that’s all about to change. As reported by Bloody Disgusting, a brand new tweet from the film’s official Twitter account mentions that a fresh trailer is due out in six days. As such, we can expect new footage to hit the web on Wednesday, August 7th, assuming that there are no last-minute scheduling changes.

While The Addams Family will be the first animated film for the franchise, there are still plenty of recognizable celebs on the cast list. The role of patriarch Gomez is being played by Oscar Isaac, whom fans will remember as Poe Dameron in the latest Star Wars trilogy. Morticia, meanwhile, is being played by Charlize Theron, with Chloe Grace Moretz lending her voice as Wednesday. Stranger Things‘ Finn Wolfhard plays Wednesday’s brother, Pugsley.

In terms of plot, it seems there are a handful of minor storylines (with Pugsly preparing for a big performance, and Wednesday going to public school for the first time), but the movie will focus on the clan’s life being turned upside down when a tyrannical TV host (voiced by Allison Janey) tries to get rid of The Addams Family. We’re certainly interested to see how this one pans out, and with a release date of October 11th, we won’t have to wait too long to see if the project sinks or swims.
