After some strong tracking numbers popped up this morning, Lionsgate has released some more promotional material for The Hunger Games, coming to us in the form of a TV spot and some new photos.

At only one minute, the new spot doesn’t show much, but it does focus heavily on District 12, showcasing a lot of Katniss and Gale and what their homelife was like. We also see a lot of the design in District 12 and it looks just like I imagined when reading the book, run down, old-fashioned and broken. I think the production team has captured it really well, which gives me faith that they’ll do an equally impressive job with the other settings in the book.

As for the pictures, EW has kindly provided three new shots featuring President Snow (Donald Sutherland), former Hunger Games champion Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), and District 2 “tributes” Cato (Alexander Ludwig) and Clove (Isabelle Furhman).

You can check them out in the gallery below, along with the new TV spot.

The Hunger Games will open on March 23rd, 2012.
