We’ve already brought you the news that both Riddler and Two-Face would also feature in The Batman and according to some character breakdowns that’ve come our way, we can confirm the other two villains involved. In contrast to rumors pointing to Scarecrow and Bane, our intel tells us that Reeves has chosen Firefly and the Mad Hatter to round out the group of baddies.

Firefly/Garfield Lynns will be a “male, 20-30” and is described as “a professional arsonist” who “attempts to burn all the places he didn’t have the privilege to go to as an orphan child.” Mad Hatter/Jervis Tetch is an older character, meanwhile, said to be between “40-50.” As per the traditional take on the villain, he’s “a scientist who invents and uses technological mind-controlling devices to influence and manipulate the minds of his victims.”

As for the other foes, actors between the ages of 30-40 are being looked at for Riddler and Two-Face, Catwoman will be between 20-30 while Penguin could be anywhere between 20-40 but is described as a “short, obese man with a long nose.”

To clarify, this information comes from an early production document and the character line-up could always change as things progress, with one villain here or there getting cut or swapped out for another. As of now, though, this is the rogues gallery the production team is going with and we must say, it’s certainly an impressive one.

The Batman is expected to start shooting early next year before its release date of June 25th, 2021. As always, watch this space for more.
