Star of the upcoming Fast Five, Vin Diesel could be the next component in the ongoing Terminator series. Although the film itself has not been officially announced as of yet, there is speculation that Vin Diesel could be involved in some capacity. Director Justin Lin confirmed recently that he is in talks to direct Terminator 5 and that while a possible Arnold Schwarzenegger return might happen, Vin Diesel, star of Lin’s latest film Fast Five may also make an appearance. Again, the movie itself has not been confirmed and so nothing is guaranteed but should the film happen it is likely that we may see Diesel make an appearance.
Recently Moviehole caught up with Director Justin Lin, here’s what he had to say:
“Vin’s been a really great partner on this franchise”, Lin says of the duo’s involvement in the “Fast” series. “We’ve talked about the mythology [of the Terminator series]…[pause] he’s a great guy and a great actor. I really like working with him so anything I do I usually talk to him about. Sometimes we even talk about going back and doing a little indy movie.”
Lin didn’t outright say that Diesel would or wouldn’t be involved but he did comment that he would be talking to him about the project regardless. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
