With Stephen Frears at the helm, Rebecca Hall and Bruce Willis are set to star in the indie flick, Lay the Favorite, which is based upon the life of Beth Raymer, who began as a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas and went on to become a professional gambler. Upon falling in love though, Raymer began to revaluate her life and her chosen profession.
Variety now tells us that Vince Vaughn is in talks to join the film for an unspecified role after last being seen in Universal’s The Dilemma. Randall Emmett will produce via Emmett/Furla Films, along with Anthony Bregman, D.V. DeVincentis and Paul Trijbits. Peter Gethers will be executive producing.
