The Wall-Crawler Strikes Some Classic Poses In Spider-Man: Homecoming Promo Art

So far, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have released only a single official image from Spider-Man: Homecoming alongside an admittedly spectacular trailer. The marketing campaign will no doubt take off after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is released this May, but in the meantime, some new promo art has now found its way online.

As you can see in the gallery above, the iconic superhero is striking some poses which will be instantly familiar to fans of the comic books. Sam Raimi’s trilogy recreated a few of those, but it was Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man movies which really made an effort to make it look like the source material was coming to life on the big screen. Just how much Spider-Man: Homecoming helmer Jon Watts will end up doing that is unclear, though it makes sense that the poses would be used in artwork like this.

Of course, far more exciting than seeing how Spider-Man moves is watching an adventure of his take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After appearing in Captain America: Civil War, fans have been anxious to see what’s next for him, and both his battle with the Vulture and interactions with Iron Man look to be a real highlight of the upcoming film.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to be released this July, so expect a whole lot more in the way of photos and footage to start coming our way over the next few months.
