Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice director Zack Snyder recently revealed that both The Joker and The Riddler were going to make cameo appearances in the movie at one point, but it was decided they’d overcrowd things a bit too much. We also know that Jesse Eisenberg originally auditioned for a different role before Snyder cast him as Lex Luthor.

You see where we’re going here, right?

Hey U Guys interviewed producers Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder recently and quizzed them about which character Eisenberg read for. While Roven refuses to divulge that, he does reveal that it would only have been a small cameo, and that what the actor did with the audition convinced them to try something new with Lex.

Many people have pointed out that Eisenberg’s portrayal of Luthor had a lot of very Riddler-esque elements to it, so taking all of the above into account, it’s not too much of a stretch to assume that Edward Nygma was the character he almost played.
