Later today, the long-awaited Avengers: Endgame is finally making its world premiere in Los Angeles. And while most of the filmgoing public currently has a few more days to wait before they can see the movie for themselves, fans can still tune into tonight’s event to catch all the red carpet fanfare.
Marvel Entertainment has just announced via Twitter that the event can be seen on the official Marvel website from 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET. The tweet invites people to “tune in for interviews with the cast and much more,” which might be good news for any fans keen for some last-minute scraps of Endgame intel.
Either way, it’s not long now before the Avengers: Infinity War sequel starts showing in cinemas across the world. Among the first to get Endgame will be China, where the first screenings are scheduled to commence at 12am this Wednesday. This translates to 12pm EST tomorrow, meaning that the first set of filmgoers will be sitting down for their screening less than 24 hours from now. After that, the review and social media embargo lifts at 6pm EST tomorrow, at which point, we’ll find out if the movie’s strong buzz has translated into a positive critical reception.
Mind you, the word so far from various sources seems fairly promising. Deadline, for example, recently relayed the claim from an industry insider that the movie’s second half in particular is mind-blowing, while co-director Joe Russo told Box Office Pro last month that Avengers: Endgame had one of the best test screening responses in the history of the MCU. Regardless, we’ll find out if the film can match the hype when it arrives in theaters on April 26th.
