From Stephen Hawking to Stephen Strange, Cumberbatch can truly do it all. Awarded his first Oscar nomination in 2015 for his portrayal of Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he’s not only a masterful thespian but a magician at motion capture (see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Mowgli), as well.

Although inevitably, one can only inhabit the skin of another individual for so long before personality and idiosyncrasies begin to shine through, and an eagle-eyed member of the CumberCollective has found just such an example pertaining to none other than the man of the hour himself.

In the gif below, Twitter user @lichtblickpink has discovered that no matter what the role – Patrick Melrose, Sherlock Holmes or Dr. Stephen Strange – Cumberbatch always puts on his jacket, or cape, with a very specific flourish. Watched on a loop, you can’t help but be mesmerized at the impeccable timing of it all.

Cumberbatch – who put his bromance with fellow actor, Tom Hiddleston, on full display at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards earlier this month – won’t be donning a jacket or putting any other type of accessory clothing on with a flourish for some time, unfortunately. That’s because next up for the English actor is the aforementioned Mowgli, in which he’ll be portraying Bengal tiger Shere Khan, and after that, presumably, he’ll be sporting the avocado green fur of the titular character in The Grinch.

Still, Benedict Cumberbatch is bound to find himself with another role soon that’ll require him to whip on a coat and when he does, we’re sure it’ll be just as fascinating to watch as it is in the Tweet above.
